Vista: A Journal of Film Studies offers a platform for the publication of essays that explore a wide array of topics within the realm of media and visual culture. We welcome submissions that employ diverse methodological frameworks, encouraging innovative approaches to scholarship. Our editorial board is composed of experts from numerous disciplines, including but not limited to: Film Studies, Cinema Studies, Television Studies, Media Studies, Visual Arts, Cultural Studies, History of Film and Media, and Digital Media Analysis.
The primary goal of the journal is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and support the growth of scholarly excellence across all facets of media research. We aim to promote rigorous and original scholarship that challenges conventional perspectives while nurturing fresh insights into media production, reception, and cultural impact.
Furthermore, the journal seeks to strengthen the relationship between academia and public engagement by facilitating discussions that resonate beyond the scholarly community. We are dedicated not only to advancing academic knowledge but also to preserving and celebrating the diverse heritage of global film, television, video, and other media forms.
